Post-movie hate is a popular trend among hipsters, douchebags and especially hipster douchebags in which one believes that every SpongeBob SquarePants episode that aired after the first movie is a pile of rotten garbage and makes sure to let anybody who continues to watch SpongeBob know that. The fad started as soon as the first episodes of season 4 premiered, with people claiming that the show was ruined forever and that it would soon be cancelled. Fifteen years and another successful movie later, they're still claiming that. Post-movie haters are an unavoidable subset of any SpongeBob community and, like a wild animal, should not be engaged with.
